Dental Emergencies

Emergency Dentistry in Rockaway NJ We Make Time for You

Yes, we always arrange our day to allow time for emergencies. Depending on the nature of your emergency, we can probably see you the same day.

If you or your child are experiencing a dental emergency, we urge you to contact our Rockaway dental office as soon as possible. There are certain situations where prompt treatment can make the difference between saving and losing a tooth. This is especially true with children, because it's crucial that we keep their teeth healthy. This is as important for baby teeth as it is for permanent teeth.

Contact Us For Your Emergency

We're equipped to handle most dental emergencies; however, if the injury involves facial trauma or damage to the head or jaw, please go to the emergency room or call 911 immediately.

During this uncertain time due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, you might wonder when is the right time to call your Rockaway dentist to arrange for an emergency dental appointment.

In line with the American Dental Association recommendation, we have closed our dental office due to COVID-19 for all non-emergency dental treatments such as routine dental cleanings, exams, diagnostic, cosmetic, and new restorative treatments like fillings, crowns, and veneers. We ask for everyone to stay home when possible and practice social distancing if you do need to go out. We will call to reschedule any upcoming visits unless you are dealing with a painful dental health emergency.

Some of the most common dental emergencies we treat at our Rockaway office:

  • Painful toothaches
  • Swelling
  • Broken teeth
  • Knocked-out teeth

We will be here for you if you have a dental emergency. If you are unsure about your situation, we ask that you give our Rockaway dental practice a call.

We do ask for the safety and health of our community and staff that you do not arrange an emergency dental appointment if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Cold symptoms
  • Flu symptoms
  • Chills
  • Body aches

Please know that your dental health is still the highest priority for us.

We look forward to seeing you at your next dental appointment once the pandemic is under control. You can visit our home page informational top banner for the latest updates about our re-opening.
